Then we start
We are proud to share the successful completion of our library initiative aimed at improving positive representation in literature for our elementary students. A key focus was ensuring diverse and inclusive representation. The expanded collection includes books by authors and illustrators from a range of backgrounds, including members of marginalized communities, LGBTQ2+ individuals, people with disabilities, and those from various faith traditions. These thoughtfully selected, age-appropriate titles offer students relatable content that promotes understanding, encourages open conversation, and supports emotional growth.
This project represents a meaningful step toward creating a more inclusive, supportive, and responsive learning environment for our school community.
